Why We Exist
Too many people are one crisis away from losing everything. An unsafe relationship, financial hardship, housing instability, or an unexpected life event can force someone to choose between remaining in a harmful situation or facing uncertainty with nowhere to turn. While these crises affect people from all walks of life, they often impact women and children most deeply, leaving families without the safety and stability they need to move forward.
Open Door Collective exists because no one should have to choose between safety and homelessness. We provide safe housing, meaningful support, and a community of care for women, children, and vulnerable individuals in crisis. We believe that stability creates opportunity—the opportunity to heal, regain confidence, rebuild independence, and create a stronger future. One open door can change the course of a life, a family, and a community.
